RS&S is pleased to announce the 17th
Annual Comprehensive Merchandise Planning
Seminar at
Disney's BoardWalk Resort in Orlando, Florida on
October 29-31st, 2007. The
Seminar provides a comprehensive look at
planning concepts, techniques and methods of
automation. The seminar
addresses today's Advanced Planning techniques
including merchandise, store, assortment and
space planning as well as store clustering and
replenishment/allocation. Also, the
process and organization needed to support
today's planning environment is considered.
Case studies and an attendee workshop highlight
the program. Best practices are considered
throughout the seminar.
New Seminar Format
Attendees can now choose topic areas of
interest by selecting to attend Day 1, Days 2/3
or All Three Days. Day 1 is more Basic
Process oriented and Days 2-3 focus on Advanced
Planning and Optimization.
- Day 1: Basics of Planning
Process - Session focuses on the
planning process, methods and organization
needed to support the planning environment
within a retail company. Provides a
methodology for companies that are
implementing a new planning process,
organization and planning system.
Also, helps companies with a process in
place by identifying any problems, issues or
gaps. Session includes a workshop in
which attendees will develop a planning
process for a retail company.
- Day 2/3: Advanced Planning
and Optimization/Forecasting -
Session focuses on Advanced Planning
Techniques including Merchandise/Financial
Planning, Store Planning, Store Clustering,
Space Planning and Allocation/Replenishment.
Optimization and forecasting to enhance the
planning techniques are also considered.
Session provides Case Studies by industry
leaders and facilitates interaction by
attendees to discuss key problems, issues
and methods for Advanced Planning.
Seminar Leader and Staff:
This three day seminar will be led by Terry
J. Donofrio, a highly respected consultant and
President of RS&S. He has worked with
planners, planning executives, merchandise
management systems personnel at specialty,
discount and department store chains in the U.S.
and abroad. He has trained planners and
executives at more that 100 major companies.
He has also helped many retailers re-engineer
their planning process and implement automated
solutions. An experienced seminar leader,
Terry has spoken on merchandise planning and
systems related topics at the Retail Systems,
RMDP, NRF, IRMA and IIE conferences. He
was
on the editorial board of Retail Systems Alert
Group (RSAG) and was one of the founders of the
Association for Merchandise Planning and
Allocation (AMPA).
The seminar is supported by several industry
leaders who will provide case studies and
facilitate interaction. Frank Zarrello
from Big M will provide case studies from
an actual Retail environment.
This seminar is presented in a small group
environment to facilitate interaction and
discussion as well as provide hands on contact
with industry experts.
